HOW IT STARTED

Where do we begin?

It all started roughly 26 years ago. Owner & Founder - Michelle, was 6 years old. She remembers being in class and the teacher asked everyone to draw a picture of what they wanted to be when they grew up. So sitting there, Michelle drew her picture, then as the teacher and her assistant came by they asked -
"What did you draw there Michelle?"
Proud as a happy chap, Michelle smiled and showed them a picture of herself with a big smile walking her dog.

"A dog walker?" The teacher asked.

"No" she replied - "Happy, I want to be happy".

It was silent, and then in an instant second the teacher and her assistant looked at each other and laughed. The waves of embarrassment washed over and that moment had always stuck..
After years of wandering and trying to "fulfill" the essence of having a "career", she thought she found it. Being a beautician and owing her own salon for 14 years, she was successful. But was she happy?
She closed her doors and reopened something more inspiring. And thus how Gift Bae became..

It was simple, Gift Bae's purpose is to just make people happy, and that makes Michelle happy.
And to this day every time she walks her dog, she thinks about that drawing,

and she smiles.
